Olympic rugby film discovered after 85 years

This is obviously not a women's rugby story, but it is such a remarkable discovery that anyone with any interest in the history of the sport will be fascinated by this.

Frederic Humbert - a collector of rugby memorabilia and author of the Rugby Pioneers blog -purchased some reels of old rugby film and found that these included two minutes of highlights from the 1924 Olympic Games rugby final between the USA and France - the last time that the sport appeared as part of the official games programme.

The film is silent but coverage is remarkably good - there must have been several cameras on the touchline.
