Australia already preparing the next generation
Checking on some background to the item on the Dee Why Pinks earlier today, it seems that they are already well known to the Wallaroos who have been giving them coaching sessions!
The article is from earlier in the season (May in fact) - I'm slightly annoyed I didn't pick it up at the time - but its too good a story (and picture) to miss.

Awesome. Under 6 kids playing full contact. When you first blogged about this I thought it was touch rugby. And this is an all girl team that takes on mixed teams and boys teams. Once again. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteActually I think its more like tag, if you check previous articles. Not sure that even the Aussies would go for full contact are 5 years old!
ReplyDeleteOk. Phew. I read ruck and defensive skills and straight away though contact rugby. Thanks for the great pieces on women's rugby. Keep them coming.
