Six Nations: Round four already under-way
Round four of the Six Nations is already up and running with news that Ireland have beaten Wales this evening in Ashbourne (Nr Dublin) by 18-3. No further details yet.
This continues a very disappointing campaign for the Welsh, but an excellent one for Ireland who now have a theoretical chance to snatch second place, if results go their way - they are pretty much guaranteed to finish at least third, equalling their best ever tournament last season.
Tomorrow afternoon England are in Edinburgh and should have few problems beating Scotland and effectively wrapping up the title in the process. Several team changes with key players rested, including the captain, should hopefully limit the damage to their hosts, but after a great opening this season Scotland have slipped back to their old ways, only scraping a draw in Italy two weeks ago.
Finally France host Italy on Sunday, with the French looking for a big win to put them in a good position to take the runners-up spot. Their points difference is better than Ireland's, but they still have to face England ad so will be wanting to build up their points total as much as they can.
