RFUW announce "Club Development Toolkit Fund"

The RFUW has announced the creation of a £7,500 of "Club Development Toolkit Fund" for clubs begining of developing girls or women's sections. Clubs are asked to apply directly through a bidding process to receive funding. It is a one-off opportunity, so the messahe is to grab it while you can!

Two funding pots are available:

  • 8 x pots of £500
  • 14 x pots of £250

Each club applying for the Club Development Toolkit Funding must meet the following criteria:

  • The club must be affiliated to the RFUW
  • The club must have in place, or is working towards, a Club Development Plan that includes an Action Plan for the Women and/or Girls Section (which will be signed off by the RDO/WRDM)
  • The club must be attending a Women & Girls Forum in their area

Applications should comprise of a project, event or resources which aims to recruit and/or retain players and/or volunteers and therefore improve the sustainability of the club. Examples may include:

  • Develop coaches and volunteers (welfare training, First Aid courses etc.)
  • Purchase new equipment to further develop and enhance current training opportunities
  • Contribute to coaching expenses for delivery hours in a local school / FE and HE institutions to create and sustain club/school links
  • Marketing and advertising the club in the local community.
