It was Registration Day, Captain ...but not as we knew it!

Today was registration day for all minis and juniors at the Letchworth club but, thanks to Danny and the Minis section, it was a bit more fun than that name suggests. Firstly, there were several stalls ranging from 'Guess the age of the tractor' through candyfloss and burgers to a bouncy castle. And then there were various competitions and other fun events like the water slide to try.
Of course, with the first Herts county day only 2 weeks away, the girls section got on with their regular Sunday training before being let loose on the various attractions, starting with a Tug'o'War ...

Having won the first pull in the 'best of 3', the girls confidently set about their second bout ...

... and, as the smiles below show, won through to the second round -

However, the second opponents - the 'Ladies 2' team - were not so easy to overcome and the girls went out of the competition 2-0 ....

The highlight of the Tug'o'War was, undoubtedly, the Minis who really tried so hard as these pics show -

Fantastic! Well done everyone.
After the Tug'o'War, the girls section headed for the stocks where Wonky was duly encased confident in the legendary (in)accuracy of the girls throwing. It didn't take long for him to find out that not everything he'd been told was exactly true ...

On the other hand, he did cheer up when some of the subsequent shots were not so true ...
... and even more when reminded of the Boks massacre of the Wallabies in the Tri-Nations ...

Of course, there were some more good aims to come ...
... before Katie decided to empty the entire bucketful over Wonky ...

Anyway, Wonky decided that he might as well have a go on the waterslide ........

.... before exacting his revenge ....

Registration Day may never be the same again.
Thanks, Danny!
