Gloucester 10s
Due to circumstances beyond our control - that is, the re-arrangement of a Letchworth 1st XV fixture to clash with the U18s Gloucester 10s - we are having to replan our trip to the Gloucester 10s tournament on April 18/19th.
The new arrangements are as follows -
1. Coaches Wonky, Henry and Potsy will not be able to come to the U18s competition on Saturday 18th April as they are playing for Letchworth 1st XV. Joe Randall, who was Head Coach of the girls team in 2006/7, has kindly agreed to stand in as Head Coach for the day.
2. Wonky et al will be back on duty on Sunday 19th April for the U15s competition at Gloucester when Mike and Joe are not available. Consequently, we will have different management/coaching teams on each day and will be running the two events as separate exercises.
So in summary - for the U18s tournament on Saturday 18th April your contacts are Mike Alcock and Joe Randall and for the U15s tournament on Sunday April 19th your contact is 'Wonky' Dave Rae.
3. On both days the timetable is the same :
06.00 Meet at Letchworth club to drive to Hartpury.
09.00 Arrive at Hartpury
09.30 Registration completed/warm-ups and preparation begin
10.15 First round matches start
17.30 Matches completed
18.30 Leave Hartpury to return home
21.30 Arrive back in Letchworth
It goes without saying that this is a rugby tournament and, therefore, timings are approximate!
Our main priority now is to establish who will be taking a car to the tournament on each day and who will be able to give lifts to other players. Can you all please let either Dave Rae (U15s) or Mike Alcock (U18s) know as soon as possible :
a. if you need a lift to Hartpury
b. if you are making your own way there
c. if you can offer other players a lift there
Thanks very much for your help.
