Black Ferns miss out
You will recall that a couple of weeks ago the New Zealand sacked their women's coach. Some of us thought that maybe they had realised that a certain supercoach had returned to the Land of the Long White Cloud - a coach with experience of dealing with some of the world's most challenging female rugby players - and that they were about to sign him up.
However, it seems we were wrong. News from the antipodes is that NZRU have completely overlooked Simon Hill and instead have picked some guy called Brian Evans based on the fact that he had coached Auckland (who provided 14 of the players in the most recent Black Fern squad) to the national championship - as if that was a better qualification than coaching Letchworth Girls!
