Emily Valentine - the BBC film. Your help needed to get it on iPlayer!

Remember the story of Emily Valentine - the first girl to play rugby?

Well last night (Tuesday 9th February) the BBC broadcast a reconstruction of the whole story, with actors playing the parts of Emily and her team in the 1887 match showing her scoring her try. This was shown in Northern Ireland during a programme called Newsline which is - frustratingly - not on iPlayer!

However, if we can get a few people to contact the BBC at bbcnewsline.ni@bbc.co.uk either asking to see a copy of the item, or maybe asking to have it on their website, then chances are they will put it up.

So please, if you are interested in this story (or, actually, even if you aren't) can you spend a minute sending an email to bbcnewsline.ni@bbc.co.uk asking to see the story? Thanks!

Yesterday they told me it would not be available, so I guess that your and other requests may have change their mind! Thank you!!
