... and Fern makes it four!
Great news last night from Leicester - Fern will also be going to the Regional Championships at Rugby School on Monday!
Our fourth regional player, she has been ploughing a lonely furrow, flying the flag for Letchworth in the East Midlands. When our East trio all managed to make the cut, Fern was understandably disappointed to be missing out on the party.
But she got a second chance. It took a evening trip all the way up to Leicester - the coaching session from Neil Back being no incentive at all, of course - but thanks to that and her performance against North West a few weeks ago - she has now been added to the East Midlands party.
It also worth remembering that Fern is also the youngest of our regional girls - a full year younger than Halyey and Sasha - and with no previous experience of playing county or regional rugby before this season. What is more she has got into the a regional squad that has beaten East U17s three times out of three in the past two years - so it really is no mean performance.
East and East Midlands have been kept apart in the opening stages of the Championships, so the earliest Letchworth v Letchworth battle would be in a semi-final!
