Ex-Legend bound for Twickenham

Sasha warms up against some poor unfortunates
More news of success for ex-legends - and in this case its pretty amazing, because in the semi-finals of this season's British Universities & Colleges Championship, three of the four teams taking part include former Legends in their line-ups!

At Broadstreet RFC (near Coventry, before you ask) on 9th March, UWI Cardiff (staring Sasha Acheson) will take on the University of Exeter (with no-one of any interest).

Seconds out! Baker and Robinson square up
ahead of their big championship show-down.
At the same time only a few yards away - in a truly classic battle - Jess Robinson's Loughborough University will battle it out against (of all teams!) Chloe Baker's Leeds Metropolitan.

The practical result of all this is that at least one former wearer of the amber and gold will be walking out at the Home of Rugby in the final in April.

Picking the winners in this is a shade trickier than the Six Nations!

Favourites overall must be UWIC, if for no other reason than they are the holders, while Loughborough have a similarly fearsome reputation. On the other hand Leeds Met have had their fair share of glory too, and even Exeter are a pretty good side.

But whoever gets to Twickenham (and hopefully it'll be more than one!) it'll be a great day for them, and the Legends!

Broadstreet RFC have contacted me and have said that directions to the ground can be found at http://www.broadstreet-rugby.co.uk/directions-to-broadstreet-rfc.html

* Meanwhile, Randy seems to have impressed as she has retained her place in the Army squad for their next game, against Worcester on 13th February.
